4 Easy Ways to Clean Up Your DietEating healthy is a goal for many of us. Unfortunately, a lot of people give up on this goal without even trying.

For most people, approaching a lifestyle change can be daunting. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Remember, small steps always make a big difference. Take small steps and start making small changes in your diet today. Here are some tips to get you started.

Prepare your own food

Lack of time is one of the most common excuses for eating a poor, unhealthy diet.

Regardless of the quality of fast food chain or restaurant, eating out means consuming more calories than the food you would prepare from your own kitchen.

Plan ahead and take some time to prepare your own food. This way, you’ll be forced to eat healthy and feed your family with heart-healthy meals.

Stop consuming non-organic coffee

For billions of people all around the world, caffeine is responsible for a jolt of energy that starts the day. But the problem with caffeine is that it becomes addictive. Instead of the usual 1 cup, you’ll eventually need 3 to 4 cups of coffee just to wake you up in the morning.

We understand that breaking the morning caffeine habit could be extremely difficult, but try to slowly wean yourself off any caffeinated products. Once you go back to a caffeine-free lifestyle, you’ll notice that your body composition will improve and your energy levels will become more stable.

No sugary beverages

Sugary beverages like sodas, smoothies and fruit juices have been proven to cause numerous health issues such as diabetes, heart diseases and obesity. Resist the urge of reaching for a can of soda and make your own flavored water instead. Add some fruit slices and fresh herbs to your water and enjoy a refreshing drink without the added sugar.

Keep hydrated

Studies revealed that roughly 90% of people are dehydrated. This affects your health, immunity, energy and vitality.

Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day. Keep a bottle of water handy and sip from it often.

Packing the Perfect Picnic Basket

The weather is great and picnic season is upon us. What’s not to love about eating a plate of delicious food while basking in nature’s beauty?

Whether you’re planning to stage your next outdoor meal on the beach or in the park, you have to make sure that everything is packed. That lovely bottle of wine won’t get opened if you don’t have a corkscrew. And once you arrive at your picnic spot, what you have in your picnic basket is what you’ve got.

Tote your picnic lunch with ease by following these simple tips.

Ground cloth

Bring an old blanket or a washable cloth that you don’t mind ruining. Even if you have a picnic table or clean rocks to sit in, bringing a blanket will up the coziness factor of eating outside.

Main dishes

Choose dishes that can be transported easily, easy to eat with your hands and do not spoil quickly.

Since you need everything to be portable and light, sandwiches and finger foods are a great option. They are easy to prepare, filling and can be packed individually for your convenience.

Side dishes

A picnic will never be complete without scrumptious sides. You can prepare your favorite pasta salad the night before the picnic and add in some roasted chicken and chopped vegetables. Since these dishes usually contain mayo, it would be best to keep it chilled.

Desserts

While a picnic is not the perfect place to get into a cake or pie, that doesn’t mean that you should skip the dessert. Choose a selection of pastries like cupcakes, fruit tarts or éclairs. They’re good on the go and are so irresistible.

Plates and utensils

Use lightweight reusable like acrylic instead of glassware. Cloth napkins can also make the picnic feel a little more special.

Drinks

As for drinks, you can bring bottles of your favorite soda or water – be sure to bring plenty of water.

5 Awesome Ways to Use Apple Cider Vinegar

For most people, apple cider vinegar may seem like a humble salad dressing, but it’s actually loaded with healthy enzymes and has antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-fungal properties. It is also a powerful beauty tonic with endless amount of uses.

Hair rinse

With regular use, shampoo and other styling products can build up in your hair; thus, leaving your hair dull and lifeless.

After shampooing, add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to a glass of water, and pour it over your hair. Leave it for about 2 minutes, then rinse. The acid in apple cider vinegar cuts straight through this buildup, giving your hair a glossy shine.

Facial toner

Vinegar is a natural astringent that help tighten pores while getting rid of dirt and grime from your skin. After washing your face, add vinegar to a cotton ball and use it as facial toner.

Most of you might be worried about the unpleasant aroma, but once it has dried, it will not leave any smell behind.

Balance blood sugar levels

Several studies showed that taking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar before bedtime is beneficial for people with Diabetes. In fact, it helps lower the blood glucose level by up to 4-6% during the night.

Stabilize weight

When taken over a prolonged period of time, the acetic acid may also help decrease body fat stores. For daily weight management, add 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in 2 cups of water and sip this concoction throughout the day.

In a study that was published in the Bioscience, Biotechnology and Biochemistry, researchers have confirmed that participants who consumed acetic acid, which is a main ingredient in apple cider vinegar, for 12 weeks experienced significant changes in body weight, waist circumference, abdominal fat and triglycerides.

Relieve constipation

Apple cider vinegar is known for relieving constipation in the same way that lemon juice can. If you feel bloated, take a shot or two to help your system flush out.
